I’m bound to get hate mail for this, but…

And the win was made all the sweeter as we beat Manchester United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge!! A super header from super defender William Gallas, a cracker from wunderkid Joe Cole and a slick drive from the cool Ricardo Carvalho condemned the Red Devils to yet another trophyless season.

It doesn't matter if the Ultimate Blues fell to Charlton in the FA Carling Cup, to Liverpool in the semi-finals of the FA Cup and to Barcelona in the Champions League – defending the Premier League title has been the Ultimate Blues most important aim this season. If we won the rest, it's the icing on the cake – but the title is the REAL DEAL!

After all, we are only the 2nd team to manage to successfully defend the title back-to-back in 15 years… the other being Manchester United, yet another sweet triumph! Yeah, so the Ultimate Blues were not so invincible compared to last season, but nevertheless, despite all the controversies and bad press over the past few months, Chelsea's players never wavered in the league.

Besides, all teams have their ups and downs and I would like to say that Chelsea had more ups in the League. That's all that matters to me really – like I said, I prefered Chelsea to win the Premier League title and boy did we do it in style! 3-0 victory at home against Manchester United, our closest rivals. They beat Chelsea at Old Trafford 1-0, but we bested them right at home.

Ah, vengeance is certainly sweeter than honey caramel combine!

Jose 'The Special One' Mourinho is certainly confirmed as the Ultimate Blues manager, a legend! No other Blues manager had won the League twice, simply because before Mourinho, we've only won once! Thanks to Roman Abramovich indeed! Without his Russian roubles, we're condemned as well! We bought the title? maybe in a way, but when you look at it, it's much thanks to the fantastic team spirit among the players who were there before Mourinho and Abramovich – John Terry, Frankie Lampard, Carlo Cudicini, William Gallas and Eidur Gudjohnsen! Now we have players like Petr Cech, Claude Makelele, Hernan Crespo, Didier Drogba, Damien Duff, Joe Cole, Michael Essien and Arjen Robben, we are certainly a formidable, Championship-winning team! Hopefully, with the addition of Michael Ballack next season will boost our squad strength and performance even further!

I pray that this victorious run will continue for several more seasons, and hopefully, we would be strong enough to finally add the European Champions League title to our bulging trophy cabinet! All the best in the next season, viva Les Blues!!

  1. Mr Tumnus

Chelsea won because of their dirty trickery and their slimy manager! Chelsea has never been a great team – they were just lucky! Next season will be Chelsea’s downfall!

  2. Gosh…I never expected anyone from the anti-Chelsea to actually vent their frustrations here. I wonder where you came from? Are you anyone I know? Well, don’t mean to be arrogant, but you’re just plain childish and ignorant in refusing to admit that the Ultimate Blues are playing with much more flair and style than whichever team you support.

So what if Liverpool beat us in the Cup? We’ve beaten them more often since Mourinho came onboard. Barcelona is arguably a super-hard to defeat team because they’ve got great players but rely too much on Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi, so yeah, maybe we’re not as good as them yet. But we ARE English champions, so whine all you want but we’re here to stay and we’re not about to relinquish the League title anytime soon!

    So LIVE with it!

  3. Congratulations on your league victory! Chelsea’s a good team with some good players and great players like Terry and Lampard. But for Chelsea need to be great is to have someone like Fabio Cappelo managing the team! A combination that would terrify everyone in world football!

And oh by the way, Man United DID win a trophy this season, it being the Carling Cup.

  4. Ah, yes, of course… so it’s not a trophyless season for Man Utd after all! It slipped my mind, but then agin, I’m not one to keep tabs on the progress and achievment of other teams :p

Nice of you to finally comment on my blog, bq! Don’t think that I don’t know you – who else in my contacts have the initials bq, mind you! 😀

Hope you’ll be a frequent visitor and participant here at my blog!

    Congratulations to Chelsea!!

They deserved it! What a great season for Chelsea.
Even I am Man U fan, but doesn’t mean I hate Chelsea. 

But my concern now is for the World Cup..
    Wishing Rooney a speedy recovery!!

    Come on ENGLAND!!

The Gunners rule London, pal! Next season, we’re gonna shoot ya down to hell!
