Famous quotes for this lovely occassion

Yes, I’m feeling very inspired at the moment to do my part to spread the love and cheer all round. To lift the blue cloud off the singletons longing for the affection of the other sex (or the same, either ways, love is all that matters). Love is a beautiful thing, one that mustn’t be suppressed because it can’t be suppressed. Underneathe the hardest and coldest of hearts, love resides deep within it, and no matter how minute it is, it is more than enough to prove that no one can undermine the power of love.

“What a grand thing, to be loved! What a grander thing still, to love!” – Victor Hugo (1802 – 1885), French author of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Victor Hugo could not have described it better. In fact, the feeling to love is often indescribable, no words in any tongue, in any language could fully comprehend the feeling of love and the feeling of being loved!

“There is no remedy for love but to love more.” – Henry David Thoreau (1817 -1862), American author and philosopher.

Indeed, nothing can cure love. Frankly speaking, I cannot fathom why anyone would want to find a cure for love, or even feelings and emotions for that matter. Love is the greatest of all feelings and is the most powerful of all. Hate is the antithesis of love but hate is weak before love. Hate cannot overpower love but love does more… it overpowers and conquers hate. Love is indeed the most precious feeling that God has given to all His beloved creations.

When it comes to love, The Bible is perhaps the most incomparable expert on the subject. Have you read any books that is rife with anecdotes, thoughts and explanations on love such as the Bible? It contains many memorable descriptions of love. From King Solomon in his Songs of Solomon to the Apostles Paul and John (who happens to be Jesus’ beloved) in the 1 Corinthians and the Books of John, the Bible never fails to bring up the subject of love, proves that even to people in those days love remains a feeling that is undescribable and mysterious. Here are some gems from the Bible that talks about love…

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13:4 – 15

There is no fear in love,
but perfect love casts out fear.

1 John 4:18

Owe no one anything except to love one another.

Romans 13:8

Isn’t it wonderful? How can one even begin to explain the feeling that love invokes in us? Mankind have the most powerful weapon at it’s disposal, yet, it still does not know how to utilise it to bring peace and harmony into the world.

Alas, there are those who do misuse it, destroying others in the name of love. Such people have a perverse understanding of love and misconstrued it’s original purpose. It’s our duty to see that love is guarded and does not go out of bounds for love in extremity is but fanaticism. Love for you want, but be wise and practice love in moderation.

Go in peace, my dear readers and may you be filled with love that knows no bounds that wells up and overflows from deep within the fountain of your heart!
